September Market Update

Across the metro area, September's average sale price is down slightly, 1.8%, in comparison to August's average sale price, $417,364 vs $425,637 respectively. In comparison to the same time last year, September 2014, the average sale price is up 7.9%. In September of 2014, we had 2.8 months of inventory overall. As you can see from above, we currently stand at 1.9 months. It continues to remain a sellers market and with the good interest rates that are available, it's a great time for buyers to purchase as well. 

 

In comparison to last month:

The number of new listings is down 12.9%. 

The number of homes sold is down 5.1%.

And the number of homes pending is down 12.8%

 

In comparison to the same time last year:

The number of new listings is up 12.2%

The number of homes sold is up 22.9%

And the number of homes pending is up 10.8%. 


YTD:

The YTD number of new listings is up 7.1% compared to the September, 2014 YTD number. 

The YTD number of homes sold is up 19.9% compared to the September, 2014 YTD number.

The YTD number of homes pending is up 20.8% compared to the September, 2014 YTD number.
