Myth: You hire a Realtor to sell your home...
Fact: While you as the owner are actually the one making the decision to sell your home, you will hire The Gardner Team for experience, sales, marketing, advertising, market knowledge and administrative services. Myth: Any Real Estate Agent Can Sell My House...
Fact: You need a Realtor who has a valid license to sell in your state, and can legally sell your home. Myth: I will save money selling my home myself...
Fact: Attempting to sell a home without a Realtor does not necessarily mean you will save money. Here's a couple common reasons why... When a For Sale By Owner (FSBO) puts their home on the market, statistics prove that those homes will sit on the market longer and sell for less than when listed by a Realtor. The average FSBO home is listed too high, resulting in no sale. Or, it's too low, leaving money on the table. Additionally, over 90% of FSBO properties end up listed with a Realtor in the long run anyway. Keep in mind, when you're FSBO and a Buyers Agent brings you a buyer, they will typically require a standard fee for their services. Now it's time to take into account the odds, and the fact that the time you spend managing your transaction is very valuable. The difference of peace of mind, your home selling quicker and for more money using a Listing Agent really means more in your pocket.
